Even if you went, you wouldn't see The Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour because they closed it last April.
It was fun, but dated, and you really needed to understand Japanese to fully appreciate it.

I know it is closed but I thought it looked interesting. And I get what your saying about knowing Japanese to fully appreciate it. Thanks. Maybe they will reopen it in the future.

What was TDL's reasoning behind closing it? I haven't been able to figure that out to this day.

I think they took it out because it was getting dated.

            rather than simply update it?

There were other issues too, like safety.

Okay, that was more of the answer I was hoping for. Although how much of a safety risk was it? I mean going thru the IJA queue has to be as dangerous as that.

What is going in it's place? Cinderella's Royal Table?

Going up and down stairs in darkness was pretty dangerous and it was too much of a hassle to the CM's leading the tour I think.

I've never been to TDR but seeing this wants to make me go. But it's closed, and that stinks. I want that at Disneyland, CA and Disneyworld now though for the more mature audiences.

We're always having fun in the Fun and Games Lounge. Care to visit us?

Wow ... it was nice to see that again. Too bad I couldn't understand most of it.

I think it looked nifty because it was the only Disney attraction anywhere to feature characters from The Black Cauldron. You have to admit that Horned King AA looked pretty freaky.

The Horned King AA was slow-moving, particularly compared to the top of the line figures.
The entire thing really lacked "magic" and the effects were creaky, hokey, and not particularly interesting.

I can see how they would consider that an issue in the U.S. but there really weren't many problems when I went on it.

They would very much get into it, you wouldn't be able to tell. I've never seen any person not cooperate with the CM and I have been going to that attraction for quite some time. I have baby pictures of myself in there.
