  • New Pics of Raging Spirits!

    Hi there!

Follow this link and you'll find brand new pictures of Raging Spirits.

    http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/Albu...a=31503964&f=0

Still don't know what to think about. Even though Kuzco is one of my favorite recent disney movies and I can't help but feeling happy about a rollercoaster themed after this movie, I heard that the structure is the same of the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, which is definetely a bumpy ride, I still have some doubts about this attraction.

Nice pix, thanks for the updates! Not much info out there about RS, so any updates are really appreciated.

I'm guessing this will be MUCH better than the similiar ride in DLP. Remember, their coaster is now 12 yrs old (almost all old Intamin loopers and even some new ones are headbangers anyway) and added on the cheap as a band-aid after the lackluster opening of DLP. Since OLC doesn't do anything on the cheap, this will definitely be utilizing much better and more modern hardware which should produce a significantly smoother ride. And with much more elaborate sets and efx, and a ride duration double that of the DLP version, it's pretty safe to assume the theme will be the only thing it will have in common with the original.

it's too bad they didn't go ahead with the origial theming idea of tying it in to the storyline of "The Emperor's New Groove"

I live in Orlando. 12 mins away from WDW's Epcot Drive in fact. I'll be in DLParis this Feb 28th. Will you be around?

Massimo picked a really good Main Street image from DLP for his avatar. Market Street piano lesson studio.

Ok, one question. . .I've heard the ride time will be double the DLP version, but how is that possible?! Is there some magical time warp the train undergoes in the course of the ride? I'm very confused how a ride with the same layout can be double the ride time!

It's supposed to be two-and-a-half minutes long.

It will be the same lenght as the Paris one, which I rode on Feb 28th (see my pics in the DLP section). Seems to me from the time you leave the platform and come back around is like 2 minutes or so.

I sure hope not, that is the only roller coaster I have ever ridden that I truly dislike. I was hoping for somthing brand new and top quality.

Not really new and over the top.. sadly, as they are capable of much much more at TDR, and especially TDS.

Anyways...here are the latest photos from the Raging's site, including your first view of the completed FP distribution area. These photos were taken on May 16th, 2005.
