  • So what's next for Disney Sea?

After the 5th celebration dies down, what does everyone think will happen next? A new attraction? New land? That big patch of land by Indiana Jones? Let's here your thoughts! =)

On another board, TDLFan had the excellent idea of building the rumored HKDL POTC "land' at TDS.
I said it there I'll say it here:
      BEST IDEA EVER!

And I read in another discussion that it's supposed to be in Mediterranean Harbor? How does it fit in over there? It would seem to me it would be better suited to the theme of the Port Discovery area. Just change up the concept a bit, and it could fit in there, but Mediterranean Harbor?

Absolutely belongs in Port Discovery. Good call.
If I recall the TDS version of a Mediterranean Harbour Soarin' would be themed to Leonardo DaVinci, but I'm not sure if that was rumour, a fan's idea or something I read on Scream Scape. If it was the latter forget I said anything...

How would it be better fitted in Port Discovery. The Soarin theme has nothing to do with the concept of Port Discovery.Besides Port Discovery already has Stormrider and where's the logic in fitting in two simulator rides in one land/port.

I think he was talking about "themeing" only. But you are right.
I've only been to TDS once and Stromrider just didn't leave an impression on me (obviously) Maybe it was a language thing.

Yes, themeing. Note how I said "change up the theme a bit".

Someone tell me what Soarin' has to do with Mediterranean Harbor?

                  Beats me.
What do 1/2 the rides in Tomorrowland have to do with "the future"?

Oh I don't know, space flight for one?

Monster's are futuristic? Automobiles are futuristic? America Sings was Futuristic? Even Carousel of Progress barely fit the theme.

This is what it has to do with: Pixar will rule and the Disney name as we know it...will fade into history. I honesty see the Pixar name replacing Disney's under a major vote by shareholders later this century. After all, "Disney" is no longer synonimous with innovation.

Personally, the Soarin' concept does not fit in any area of TDS, much less Mediterranean Harbor. I am still hoping this rumored Soarin' addition to TDS is just hogwash rumors and not something concrete.

The storyline of Soarin' would change completely to fit in with Mediterranean Harbor. To what, nobody knows yet. But I would like to see a DaVinci flying machine theme.

Makes me wonder is TDS's next port will be Finding Nemo themed. Every other park seems to be jumping on that wagon.

I first heard of a Soarin' attraction with DaVinci's flying machine back in 2001. For reference, here is the machine at TDS:

I personally think it would be an "appropriately themed" attraction for the area.
