  • TDS Travel Channel Special

Hey I remember a few years ago, I think it was 2002 or 2003, where they did a 1 hour special on TDS, and I haven't seen it since. This was before I was a huge Disney fan so I really would love to see it again. Has anybody seen it and do they know where it is on the net?

Try www.mousebits.com. There's the whole video there, though it's missing a few sections.

I personally did not like the TDS special on the Travel Channel. They did not do a good job of conveying what the park is all about, how it excells over the other Disney parks, and how efficiently it is operated. Instead, they decided to do segements on how silly some of the japanese guests dresse to go to the parks. It was like the people who went to TDS to do this show, forgot they were there to capture the park and got caught up in japanese pop culture.

The DLP one was a much better TV special... probably because DisneyCo is partly the owner, and everything that places TDR in a higher light in the USA when compared to the other Disney parks, seems to be frowned upon by Disney Co itself.

Why do you think them Disney-employed lurkers online hate my guts here and on other sites?

I completely agree. I felt they did not feature very much on the atmosphere of the park, nor the attractions. I would have liked more information on the 7 ports of calls.
