Tokyo Disneyland Castle Entrance

I was looking at pictures of TDL's castle on l'internet and found an old picture and a recent one. Now the entrance to the castle in the old picture is, well, take a look, http://www.japaneselifestyle.com.au/...lla_castle.jpg yet the new picture http://www.jenius.com.au/images/july...eyland_day.jpg there seems to be horrid brick walls stuck there. Is there any explanation forthis and is it justified because I think the old picture looks marvellous, especially as opposed to the new one

Those "brick walls" is the Castle stage. There are pathways on either side that lead up to the Castle behind the stage.

Ah. That's a shame, I always thought it looked somewhat odd and now I saw what it was before I much prefer that

Don't worry. That stage was only temporary and is not there anymore at the moment. They only set it up during those special events where a castle show is called for.
