  • Possible to run round TDR?

We will be staying in one of the TDR official hotels. Is it possible to run from the hotel, and go one round (partly follow the Disney Resort Line) passing by the Ambassador Hotel, TDS, TDL, and back to the hotel, on proper pavement? I have done that at HKDL (about 4-5 km one round), and hope to do similar at TDR. Thanks.

It is possible by following the roads going around the perimeter of the Parks. However, the southern segment between Tokyo DisneySea property and Tokyo Bay (official hotels to TDS parking) does not feature a sidewalk. The flood wall and berm along that stretch has a small dirt trail that some people use for walking/jogging. Your other option would be to run on the side of the street. Everywhere else on the perimeter (TDS parking to OLC entrance, OLC entrance along Ikspiari, TDL parking to official hotels) has a sidewalk next to the street. To give you an idea, check out my monorail video: http://www.jtcent.com/monorail/monmsc.html

Hi Joe, thanks for the information. I also tried to look at Google Earth to figure out the stretch with a small dirt trail, but can't seem to be able to locate it. It does look like I am able to follow the road around the perimeter of TDS, between Ikspiari and TDL, and round the outside of TDS car park before going back to the hotels.

Yup, just followed the Google Earth map as well... there seems to be several dirt like
sections along the ocean side, but can't make it out clearly from that vantage. (south
        west corner?)

Joe, a question for you: on the south west corner of DS, next to the intersection,
there are several mickey heads in blue and yellow. What's that?

They are decorated patches of flowers in the shape of Mickey heads on the low-lying hills just to the right of the monorail. They've been there for years now. Most people on the train just look straight ahead towards Tokyo Bay and miss them. They're better seen from the berm/flood wall.
