Does anyone know if the new 25th Anniversary parade will be on hiatus at any point during the 25th Anniversary. I planned to visit in September for Halloween and don't wish to miss the new parade!

Re: 25th Anniversary Parade Question ?
I would guess that they would want to keep it going through the entire anniversary year.
After that, in which I am sure that it will go on as the standard Day parade for the park, I would guess that it would follow the schedule that the previous day parades did when coinciding with the seasonal/holiday events.

Re: 25th Anniversary Parade Question ?
Personally I think TDL need to keep this parade running throughout the Anniversary year like DLRP is currently doing with its 15th Anniversary parade. If not its kind of false advertsing to have a new parade open for the Anniversary if its going to go off on hiatus the moment Christmas or Halloween comes.

Re: 25th Anniversary Parade Question ?
well the halloween and christmas parades will still be new parades for the anniversary =P
at disneyland they ran both Parade of Dreams and A Christmas Fantasy during the 50th, and if anything that's the route I think tokyo should go. Not having a halloween or christmas parade this year at paris is just a bummer. The tiny little pre/post parades they do just aren't the same and it seems so pointless to have all the park decorations up for the holiday but only give it a mini-parade.
If they don't immediately get rid of their Moving On floats, they should have enough floats backstage for two full parades since they've been using Moving On's for christmas the last 2 years and the same set of halloween ones redecorated.

Re: 25th Anniversary Parade Question ?
The Halloween floats this year were totally new for the most part. I didn't recognize anything from previous years, and if they were, the renovations were extensive enough for me to even call it a "brand new parade", which is something I could never say for the Xmas and halloween parades at WDW.

As for the Halloween floats yeah the floats are kept on for next year, but only the actual shells are kept. These floats are not just re decorated each year but actually re built to become new floats. Add in the new costumes and music and you have a completely new parade. Once Halloween is over these floats are taken away and dismantled to use for another year, through some are kept for the Countdown nights.

Re: 25th Anniversary Parade Question ?
Well, the fact that they use the same bases with all new decor on top make them new to me. It's not like the WDW floats where they just add pumpkins to some floats during halloween, then take them off and add garlands for Xmas, without changing the basic design of the set on top of the base. This is where TDR excels the most.

Re: 25th Anniversary Parade Question ?
the point isn't whether the floats seem new to you or not after their extensive redecoration, i just meant that the halloween ones are accounted for and christmas ones could be too if they use moving on's old floats if they wanted to run both parades at the same time since they have a set number of floats, albeit a very large one.
and ya they'll completely redecorate stuff and move around the trailers but you can still recognize features like pirate mickey last year was clearly on the box goofy ran out onto from his little hiding shed the year before.

Not sure about that one as the box you refered to has returned this year on the Goofy & Pluto float.

I was only joking about that!
