Alice ride?

What happened to that Alice ride that was going to move it's a small world to the Grand Prix Raceway was that just a rumor or was it cancelled?

I believe the Alice ride that was planned initially was scrapped and instead, IASW will be closed for a year starting from the 1st of March to add approximately 40 characters and music from all kinds of Disney movies including Alice in Wonderland, Mulan, Aladdin, Lion King, Cinderella etc. So the building is going to stay put and the ride is going to be similar to IASW in Hong Kong Disneyland.

Grand Circuit Raceway closed last month and Star Jets will close later this year to make way for construction of the new area.

It's a shame. And small world was going to be rebuilt as a two-story attraction where you had two options. To sail around the world via boat, or soar above the countries via makeshift hot-air balloons. That would've been awesome! Too bad the 2020 Olympics snuffed out those original expansion plans for TDR.

It's a shame. And small world was going to be rebuilt as a two-story attraction where you had two options. THAT RUMOR IS A FALSE ONE. The reason why the small world was going to be a two story building its because of a brand new restaurant, TDL lacks restaurants and toilets and its over crowded sometimes so you really dont have much of a choice. while disneySEA has a decent number of fine dine restaurant. and now the plans has changed, Small world will be renewed for a one year span AKA Disneyland version. and there were many factors that were playing on why The 2014 version Fantasyland was Scrapped and they are still in the Blue sky Process as of now, And right now OLC have ordered Tokyo Exclusive attractions.from WDI, while Soarin in the other hand was an Original Attraction in DisneySEA. but never opened in 2001 due to some logistics issues.

I'm sure what you said has credence, but I'm also sharing information from an actual Imagineer-friend. As we all know, plans are always scrapped or modified. But at one point, out of many iterations, it's a small world was to include two boarding options: by balloon or boat, whether the attraction was enclosed in a one or two-story show building.

The plan was always to have a restaurant on the second floor of Small World. It was really a crazy idea to move the entire attraction when the money could be better spent on a new attraction.
