  • Popcorn buckets?

What's been going on with the popcorn buckets at TDL lately? A little before golden week they had these generic popcorn buckets with mickey showing up everywhere except Pooh and maybe a couple of other spots. Then the replaced the 25th bucket with a new design but in all the promotional material they still have the other one featured. Now Pooh's bucket is being sold at carts other then where they usually sell it. Is this just them phasing out certain buckets and it's a common thing? Sorry for the stupid question but I was just curious!

Oh Dear God, please don't let them go generic with the popcorn buckets. That would pretty much destroy what little remaining faith in humanity I had left.

I need to get me the new 25th anniversary when I return to TDR this weekend. BTW.. I also have to get the TDS Spring Carnival bucket. So much shopping to do, so little time.

The one seen on the left was retired. I got the new design which is oval in shape and collapses as well. The Princess one you see on the right was retired last year after Disney's Princess days event ended. Hold on to those since they are now history.

Those are some cute popcorn buckets, why can't they do that here in California??? Instead they have all the generic Disneyland/Walt Disney World stuff.

OLC does care to offer guests an experience that is Disney at it's best. WDC does not care to do that because they realize they do not have to try hard to keep guests coming. The generic "Disney Parks" crap they sell/offer at WDW and DLR is further proof to me that is all about the money and not about offering guests a very unique experience tailored to any particular park. HKDL also suffers from that problem.. but at least they also have some unique stuff to that park... Unlike WDW for example.

Do not even get me started. I can accept the lowered standards of cleanliness, CM demeanor, and food variety in the US parks, but I exist perpetually wounded at the unattractive mediocrity of the Western Popcorn Bucket.

I am particularly fond of the fact that the little clips that hold the strap on are shaped like little Mickey Mouse heads or hearts or whatever's appropriate.

I can not accept those aspect of the current problems at Disney parks. When you pay $79 for a day (or part of) at the MK, versus $59 for a full day of activities in a clean park and well staffed park like TDL... NO, I do not accept anything lower in standards at WDW or anywhere else in Disney's resorts worldwide.

Well it's true that none of those things make me happy, but if I think about it too hard, I go into outrage fatigue because it's too much. The popcorn buckets are just specific enough to be a painful irritant.

                              They don't irritate me.
