  • [Question] 2 College Girls at WDW for the 1st Time

My sister and I are planning our first trip in January. We will be staying 3 days at Boardwalk and 2 days at Saratoga Springs. We made reservations for the Fantasmic Dining Experience at Hollywood and Vine and Illuminations at Rose and Crown. Is there anything we MUST do in terms of places to go and things to see? Thanks!

Just have fun. I would tell you to definitely check out Adventurer's Club but who knows if it'll still be there. Take a LOT of pictures. Even when you think "I have plenty", you'll always wish you had more.

I second that as Phana is a great restaurant!

You say college... are you over 21? If so the Boarkwalk has a dueling piano bar Jellyrolls that is a lot of fun. Or else there's the Atlantic Dance Club and EPSN Club on the Boardwalk as well. If you take a walk over to the Beach Club you can dine or get ice cream from Beaches and Creme, which I highly suggest!

Have fun on your trip and happy planning! :cgrin:

Just remember to have fun above all else. Don't feel pressured to do everything. Remember, you can always go back some other time. Disney loves repeat guests.

Since you are there five days, I might spend the first four days at each of the parks (one park per day), and then repeat anything you wanted to do again, or didn't get to see, on the fifth day. If you are breakfast people, I recommend the Kona Cafe at the Poly. You could stop off for breakfast before park opening on your Magic Kingdom day, for instance.

Don't miss Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom. My sister and I like to catch the first show so we can sit right in the front. The theater is only half full then, too, so it's more likely that the performers will interact with you. IMHO it's the best show at the World.

Other than that, just make sure to have fun! My sister and I go all the time. I'm 23 and she's 21, but when we're there we act like we're both 8 years old again!

There is no way you can experience everything in 1 trip, which makes going back a must!

See Finding Nemo the Musical. It is my favorite show on property, and actually is the only one I see every trip to The World. Be sure to look at the animal at DAK too. It is easy to rush though the rides and shows without walking down the paths and truly enjoying DAK.

                      Most importantly, have fun!

If you are a big fan of roller coasters I would make sure you go to the Aero Smith Rockin Roller coaster in Hollywood Studios and go to Space Mountain and don't forget Expedition Everest.

Check to see if Epcot will be open an extra 3 hours when you are there. It the one extended hours that I enjoy. It doesn't seem to get as crowded. You get to enjoy Epcot a little longer.

Should we get Park Hopper tickets, or does it take a full day to do each park?

                          Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

Yes, it does take at least a full day to see each park. Even so, I would recommend getting a park hopper because you never know when you might get bored of one park, or it becomes unusually crowded, you have a dining reservation, nighttime entertainment, etc. etc...and you want to leave and go to another one.

You definatelyl want Hopper tickets. This way if you get to a park in the morning and it is really crowded you can hop over to another park and then go back to the first one later in the day. It also gives you the opportunity to take advantage of the great restaurants over at Epcot for dinner. Don't try and do everything on one trip, it would be impossible and you'll make yourself crazy. Go to the "must sees" and then if you have time go to some others. That's the other advantage of the Hopper tickets.....
