  • [Question] Buena Vista Palace Bus Service

I have a friend staying at the Buena Vista Palace (across from Sarasota and DTD) this week and I'm trying to help him with transportation logistics. However, in the 31 years I've been visiting WDW, I've never stayed off-property before. So, I'm at a loss. When searching on here, I couldn't find anything about the buses except they suck.

Do any of you have first hand experience with them? How often they run, where they drop off/pick up at the parks, are they hotel specific or do they share all the hotels, etc? I've actually NEVER seen a bus for Hotel Plaza Boulevard before so I'm not sure how they work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

    Sarasota? You mean Saratoga?

The only DTD hotel that offers Disney's bus service is the Hilton. So they'd have to use their own car or if they're willing to do a workaround, walk across the street to the Disney bus stop at DTD, get on the bus that takes them to the Contemporary (or the Polynesian or Grand Floridian) and then they can walk, take the monorail to MK or take the monorail to the TTC and get a bus to the Studios or AK or the monorail to EPCOT.

Ha ha! Yeah, I meant Saratoga. Sorry.

I called the hotel and they said they had a shuttle to the parks, water parks and Pleasure Island that ran every 30 minutes and went to the park "gates". But, I'm not sure what that means really because I've never seen a non-Disney bus in the bus depots at each park.

I've never stayed there, so I have no idea either.

When I've stayed at Downtown Disney, I just walk across the street to DD and get the buses there. It isn't considered off-property, the hotel is just not Disney owned.
