  • [Question] Canada lyrics

Just wondering, does anyone know what the lyrics are to "Canada (You're a lifetime journey)"?

And what the translation of the French part would be.

    Thanks
    sigpic

The French Translation (for those who didn't figure it out) is roughly the same as it is in English
"First of all I would like to make one thing perfectly clear.
I never explain anything." Mary Poppins

          Wow thanks for that!

Hearing the new version made me think they might have altered the French words - guess its just that girls pronunciation.

No - it's still a great song - just a new arrangement. And I like the new film too!

            See:

It did appear (the old version of the song) on Walt Disney World - Resort Album - a pre 2000 edition which I can't find on the web. The newone doesn't faeture it.

              Hi,
I will try to translate the french part to the best of my knowledge. I'm a french canadian, so sorry if the english part is a little bit off, but you should be able to understand it anyway :P

I followed the track of your Snowy Owl in the forests.

I attain little by little your heart and i see

As if as was a child.

              Canada (Canada),
              My Canada (mon Canada).

Culmination of a dream for all the travelers.

              Canada (Canada),
              My Canada (mon Canada).

Sur ta lingne de vie se tracent les miracles de la terre.
On your lifeline trace themselves the earth miracles.

Canada as an odyssey through the times.
Tu es la fleur et la semence.
You are the flower and the seed.
              Canada.
Tes montagnes tes villes et tes mers
Your mountains, your cities and your seas
              Sont tout ce que j'aime.
              Are all that I like.
