  • [Question] Walt Disney World/Disneyland Internships

I am wondering how old you have to be to be able to have an internship or summer internship at Disney. I know it's most likely 18 years old, but what if you have parental consent and everything?

Once you are 18 you don't need your parents consent. You can read about the College Program at Disney College Program- Students

Thanks OFTEric. But I was really wondering if I could do it before I am 18 as long as I have parental consent.

I hate too be discouraging but I would not count on getting accepted in an internship until you are in college and meet the requirements for what the particular role would be for which you would be applying. I believe there are programs for local Orlando area high schoolers as well but you would have too go to your career counselor for that as usually those are usually for more vocational programs.

As I understand it you have to be in College and meet some academic guidelines you also have to "audition" for some of the roles. Characters have height restrictions, to keep them uniform between the parks, etc. There are Disney CP recruiters at most major Colleges, once you are enrolled you should check around and/or call Disney to find out if there is one at your school and if not how to arrange an audition. Who knows you may become a recruiter after you finish your CP, you can at least keep your CM status that way and all the benefits that brings.

            So um... Break a leg!

No unfortunately. To do the CP, you have to be 18+, completed at least one semester in college, and are in good standing with the school.
