What's up with Wishes? May Hours are posted and Wishes is no where to be found. Please tell me they will be having fireworks while I am there the first week in may.

Budget cuts maybe? Just like Fantasmic!'s reduced schedule this spring?
But hey.. don't fret. WDW management feels your pain, but they also agree that at least.. you can "celebrate everyday!". No pyro needed.

I'm going in June and I know there will be fireworks during the summer months. There better be. Shhhht I would be happy with one giant firework pop over the Castle to end the night. It's something I can't get back home in Texas.

Did someone say "giant fire pop" over the castle?? I will give you TWO real fireballs over the castle and then some water to go with it!! Check out the clip below, click on the right of the video where it says "HQ" for better viewing.. and advance to 3 minutes into this clip.. that is where the fun with fire begins...

Of course, this is not a true pyro show a la "Wishes", but this is as close as TDL gets to Fantasmic!

Wow thank's for posting that TDL! I actually kinda like that better than Fantasmic! in a way it's cute. If my daughter ever learns patience enough to survive a flight from DC to Tokyo we're there! )

Weather Permitting they should have them, they just changed the web site and are not listing the parade and fireworks times on the calendar anymore. The shows and attractions page still lists the parades and wishes.

The real schedule is set about a week ahead and will be reflected in the times guides you get when you check into the resort or you can pick one up at the front of the park if your staying off property. Also look for signs and information on the memo board inside the park for last minute changes and refurbishment notices.

My pleasure since so many people here have no idea of the scope of the live entertainment at TDL, so.. it's just a little sample of what TDL does to make up for their lousy fireworks show, and small sample also of what WDW should be doing on the castle stage since they charge $80 for a single day admission in addition to doing Wishes nightly.
BTW.. DCA to Tokyo on ANA or United is only 13:50 mins nonstop on average.

Oh.. and in case you wondered how it all ended over there in Tokyo.. here is the grand finale. Pay special attention to the flowing fountains on either side of the castle's upper section (nice subtle touch) and don't forget to click on HQ for better viewing..

Did you fly on Air Snail or something?? LAX -> Narita should be in the 10-11 hour range if it's a nonstop flight.

Does anyone else not like the new WDW site as much as I do? You just can't find anything!

Try calling their telephone number and try to get someone to respond to your questions...LIVE. But yes, their official site is hard to navigate and truly awful.

yeah but I think her point is a good one, it's getting HARDER to navigate with each release, it should be getting better. They really need a good usability specialist to keep the flashy ad guys in check.

The other thing I noticed is it's missing (or I just have not found it there yet) some key information now such as the parade and fireworks info that used to be posted (albeit buried) on the park schedules. The nice thing is they at least vary the posted hours to reflect the EMH's now which may be a little less confusing to those who don't understand it.

                        Re: No Wishes in May?!!!

I have tried three times to find out information (that used to be on there) only, to run into a brick wall. It's no longer there. The live, online operator helped once....but, it's really aggravating.

*I was looking for the chart they used to have up that stated the season's rates. Value, peak, etc. It's no longer there. The online operator had to give it to me.

*I tried to find when the waterparks close. What is their running season.

*I tried to find out what nights Wishes and SpectroMagic would be happening.

                          Re: No Wishes in May?!!!

They're back! Wishes is now listed in May. Sorry for the fire drill. The U.S. Websit does not list entertainment any longer, but the UK website does. It is where I first noticed that wishes was missing when they posted May hours. I checked today and it now lists Wishes in Link below:

Walt Disney World Resort - Detecting Browser Properties . . .

                          Sigh of relief ahhhh.
