  • News Magic of Disney Animation post-show updated

I haven't seen this posted on here yet (unless I just missed it), but the post-show of the Magic of Disney Animation has been updated. It's all UP in there now, with some really cool maquettes and tons of art.

There's also new posters on the corridor wall, including a teaser of Toy Story 3 (doesn't show anything but the title), and three awesome new posters, one for Princess and the Frog and two for Rapunzel. Really got me excited to see some good old fashioned Disney fairy tale movies again.

Sorry I don't have pictures, but I'm sure they'll be up somewhere soon.

Thanks for the update. Will have to check it out next time I visit DHS.

I wonder when this went up (pun intended) ... I was standing in the Art of Disney gallery last month and walked into the post show with a friend, but all I recall seeing was a lot of Snow White stuff (looked like a small version of the big 70th anniversary exhibit they had at DCA last year).

      ~Maybe he's just visiting~

I would like to see them update the actual MDA show itself. It's not the kind of show people will come back for again and again if it's the same 5 min schpeil over and over.

The Snow White stuff is still there. The new stuff is deeper into the building. It's the room right after you leave the Mushu movie, where they used to have a real live "animator" (i.e. hourly CM who could draw good) talk to you. There's also new stuff in the little glass enclosure next to where they sometimes paint cels and maquettes, and up the ramp from the Mickey meet and greet. The new posters are opposite this.

As you point out, you don't have to watch the Mushu movie to see this new stuff. You can go in backwards through the Art of Disney. Perhaps they also updated the Mushu part with an UP teaser (they usually have some kind of teaser running).
