  • [Question] Calendar Gone From Official Disney Site

We go to WDW at least once a month and always plan our trips around the Wishes Fireworks and Spectromagic Parade. I always used the official Disney websites calendar for times and dates for months in advance. It was always just a click away for times and dates of all parades and fireworks. It's now gone as of January when the overhauled their website, and for the life of me, I can't find it anywhere. I also used it to plan trips for my visiting children who wanted to see the fireworks and parades when we took them into the parks. Can someone tell me where I can find it, if it exists at all. I don't need text info about it, I want actual dates and times for the months ahead. I would appreciate a link to it, if possible. Thanks, Goofy...

    Hi neighbor.

The official WDW website has been really bad recently. I try to avoid it.

You can try the Canada version of the WDW website. That still has some information on it.

I also visit allearsnet.com and wdwinfo for reliable information.

    Good luck!

Thank you very much. I missed this calendar, hopefully they don't change the Canadian version. I do use allearsnet.com for reliable information, I love Deb Wills site. It's the best on the net when it comes to accuarate information on Disney. Thanks again, Goofy

The WDW calendar was replaced with a new version of the calendar that's clearly ripped out of some office scheduling web-application. Instead of something like: Dream-Along With Mickey - 10:30am, 11:30am, etc. it's a list of 10am 11am 12pm 1pm 2pm with whatever is happening at those times listed in it, so you're filled with repetitive entries like dream along and have to scan around for anything else.

Yup... I agree I used to love just clicking month by month and finding the days I needed and clicking them to see what was scheduled that night. Now you need a philidelphia lawyer to navigate their site. They should also cut back on some of their java , graphics and animations. Like Sgt. Friday said, "Just The Facts M'am"

Re: Calendar Gone From Official Disney Site

I find this calendar much more helpful Walt Disney World park hours, fireworks and parade times, Disney World park hours

One would think that with the creative genius at their disposal, Disney could create a website that could actually work and be informative! I don't need to have Tinkerbelle fly across my screen and wait for music to load or filter through pop ups. For crying out loud Disney! Just get it right!!!

Yes! I thought I was the only one that was hating their new website. Last year when I was planning our first trip to WDW it was so much easier to navigate the calendar and get the info you needed. Now everything just seems out of place and doesnt make sense. I hope the Canada version remains the same. We're planning another trip in the Fall.

Re: Calendar Gone From Official Disney Site

I sometimes go to the official Disney World site for information, and I get frustrated because it loads so slowly. I do plan on buying my park tickets from there soon, though.

About the calendar. If you go to the park that you want, you can bring up a calendar for the month that you want. I did this recently, for August, but it loads slowly, like I said.

I do agree the old way was much better. The new way, just leaves me frustrated.
