  • [Question] So is this legit? or some DVC scam...

    So,

My friends and I have a trip booked for Sept 16 to the 23rd at WDW, we are booked at the All Star Sports Resort.

Well the other day I received an email from Disney proclaiming that they will upgrade us for FREE to a studio room at either Old Key West Resort or Saratoga Springs Resort.

In this email, it just states to call the number listed and provide the pin # on the email. It says the upgrade is free but must respond by Aug 1.

I read all the fine print on the email, and it does not state anything about having to sit through a DVC seminar or anything to that effect.

Has anyone else ever received this email, it just seems too good to be true.

I will still call Disney on it, but I wanted your reactions... and experience...

    Thanks!!

P.S Out of the two choices which one would you take?

i would be wary if they ask for any type of CC number or anythign when you call

try calling the number you made your original reservation thru and mention this to them, it might be a scam email disguised as an official one
Will there be screams when the sun sets,

My guess is they are overbooked at the All Star and you are the lucky one they picked to upgrade so they would have the rooms they needed at the All Star.

Well never mind... appears all the upgrades have been booked, so no go for that ...

Oh well we will still have fun regardless!
