  • News TTA Has New Audio

Sorry if this has been posted, didn't see anything.

As of today, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority has been updated with all new narration.

Gone are the "NOW APPROACHING" chimes and the Tomorrowland themed narration.

Now present are generic descriptions of each attraction as you pass it.

On select attractions (Stitch, Monsters, Buzz, Startraders) character voices are now heard.

    There is also new music.

Jake's correct. I rode the TTA earlier today and can confirm there is definitely brand new audio aboard.

Listened to it form a tweet. I like that they call it the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover.

Not sure about the rest; I think I have to hear it in person to decide, but not much of a fan of the characters' voices added.

Eh, it's ok. I like the old spiel a lot better, but I can live with this one.

^ My thoughts too. I will say that the new narration reminds more of the old Wedway Peoplemover narration.

              Re: TTA Has New Audio

I can't wait to here it when I go! I perfer not to listen or see an attraction on video until I've rode it at least once (for suspense). Anyway this new narration doesn't sound to bad I like the peoplemover at the end but for now I'll still call it the "Tomorrowland Transit Authority". I also call "HollyWood studios", "MGM Studios, or if I'm lazy which is a lot "MGM".

                Re: TTA Has New Audio

I like the new audio. With the exception of the character voices, it's essentially a call back to the pre-TTA narration. Has the signage changed, by any chance? Or does it still say "Tomorrowland Transit Authority"?

                  Re: TTA Has New Audio

Someone up above mentioned "on board audio". As far as I know, they never had onboarrd audio on the vehicles. The audio tracks "followed" the vehicles via the loudspeakers above the track. Or has that changed?

I would also like it if they dropped the Transit Authority portion of the name and called it just "TL Peoplemover". Let's face it.. only guests who are on drugs or medicated could think that this entire area is like a self contained city, which is what management want us to believe, but the horribly mismatched theming here makes that idea of a city basically impossible to comprehend.

                    Re: TTA Has New Audio

yes the TTA has a new audio track and im not a fan of the monotone voice that the narrator has during the ride, as well as the character voices have got to go. Personally i liked the previous narrator before this recent audio switch.

                      Re: TTA Has New Audio

I kinda like it with the chracter additions. I think just the ride through TLand alone is worth it, so this audio doesn't really change my stance on the ride being awesome.

No, it's still the speakers up above. Sorry for the confusion.

DId this new audio just kick in yesterday (Friday)? I rode several times last weekend and didn't hear any change from the old track (Paging Mr. Morrow - Mr. Tom Morrow . . .).

Yes, according to the CMs at the attraction it was installed after park closing on October 1st.

We still call it MGM too. We rode TTA on Sunday and the audio was totally silent through space mountain. I was surprised that they didn't just change the audio when they did the renewal a few weeks ago.

Yes the new narration is basically a recreation of the ORAC-1 spiel. They even hired a sound alike to do it. The ride is also once again refered to as PEOPLEMOVER and overall the new soundtrack reminds me of Disneyland's peoplemover narration before it closed down. The new track even uses the goodyear monorail song!

Telling by what everyone else is saying, it reminds me of Disneyland's PeopleMover. Though, the funny thing about character voices on Disneyland's version is that it consisted of C3PO, R2D2 (in a way), and the MCP from Tron!

I hated the TTA audio, so I think the new version will be a welcome change for me. That's awesome they're calling it the "Peoplemover" again for the most part. I never called it TTA. Since I was a little kid, that attraction has been the "We-Day Peoplemover" (because one time I misread the WEDWAY sign and thought it said "WE-DAY"). Duh. LOL!

I never called it the TTA either. It was always the Peoplemover. So if they're calling it that again, that's great!

Listening to the audio, I do not like the delivery style. It seems to hurried and as if the narrator is talking down to guests.
