News New Concept Art for Magic Kingdom Fantasyland

[WDWDN]

Walt Disney Imagineering recently released new concept art of the Fantasyland expansion. Simply put it looks amazing and I hope that they can stick to this version.

Actually, that art has been up another WDW Fan Site for quite a long time.. since they announced the expansion, I believe.

Certainly beautiful. I sure hope they go through with the new glass roof for the Mad Tea Party.

Yeah, you guys are quite late to this story. The image was released in September during the D23 Expo.

Judging from the picture..... it looks like directly behind the Winnie the Pooh ride will be.. it looks like Cinderella's Chateau.

Beast's Castle and Gaston's village looks like the back left.

Little Mermaid is above center.

Dumbo squared and Circus is on the upper right with Pixie Hollow directly in front of it.


So much beauty and only one new ride to show for it.

You guys are correct we featured it awhile back as well. This was the first time we were able to view the large photo, which provides much more detail as to what it will look like.

Except for on the screens at the D23 Arena!

Even if these amount to little more than glorified meet-and-greets, I am hoping the architecture and final products look fantastic!

I am most excited about the Beauty and the Beast area.

Doesn't it seem odd though that Cinderella is being provided with a house, although she has a whole Castle in Fantasyland already. Why doesn't she meet guests in the Castle itself?

The Castle is still used for that one hotel room up top and the bottom level I believe is still used for her restuarant...After the money they spent developing the Hotel Room upstairs for that Year of A Million Wishes giveaway I don't see them just doing away with it for a meet and greet area...

What would be more exciting than meeting Cinderella in her bedroom suite to "get ready" together for the ball? They're not using the hotel room for guests any more.

As do I but they have always been a supportive role in the overall experience, not the main event. There have always been plenty of ways to meet the characters at Disney World. Using up all that space just for meet & greets seems... un-Disney.

ORD love the avatar!! I think the meet and greets are a good thing, especially for younger kids. Sure there are probably too many, but it does allow for everyone to be able to get that special photo with their favorite character.

I cannot wait for more detailed concept art to come out...or heck just the real thing!!
