Has anyone ever participated in Disney's Magic Music Days?

I marched with my school's marching band around World Showcase. What's funny is, I play violin - not even a marching instrument. People from my string orchestra signed up for the trip under the assumption we would be performing in an orchestra. Unfortunately, the required number didn't sign up to justify a separate orchestra - so each of us had either the choice of either withdrawing from the trip, or playing with the marching band. I ended up learning how to play cymbals just for the occasion. )

I would recommend it. Our trip was $700 for several days, which was far less than any person could go to WDW for on their own. It's also fun to go with friends my own age instead of family - it's really a completely different experience. We all had more or less the same taste in attractions, instead of having to try to please everyone in the family, and it's really fun to relive the "first time" at Disney through other people's eyes. We also got to see the backstage of World Showcase, although I'm not into such things.

I've participated in 3 of the dance group parades for Magic Music Days a few years ago. I believe it was 2004-2007. One was before the Christmas Parade and it was so much fun.

Yep! I got to march down Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom with my high school marching band in January 1997. It was amazing! We also got to go behind the scenes and see how some of the things were done. Highly recommend it if it's offered! We had an entire trip where we participated in the Citrus Bowl parade, Citrus Bowl competition, went to Universal and all the Disney parks.

I've done it 1993 and 1995. We marched in MGM Studios. Then preformed at Universal at Hollywood and Vine Street. It's not fun to do a parade in Florida while wearing polyester uniforms. Way too hot!!!

I chaperoned a few years ago my high school's chorus and band both played at the EPCOT stage that used to be behind Innoventions. It was definitely an experience I would like to try again. The 20 hour nonstop bus ride to Florida? The reason I bought an Ipod.

These are great stories. I chaperoned my son's marching band and orchestra trip. It was amaing being a CAST MEMBER for the day!!!!
