Maybe they didn't actually visit any of the cities?

I grew up in a small village on the outskirts of swindon and when I got emailed this story I was as confused and everyone else!!!! The only connection i could think of is the magic roundabout (i learned to drive on the damn thing, not for the faint hearted)

I didn't even know WDW was looking for a twin town, maybe Swindon was the only applicant??

I guess Swindon begged for attention more avidly than other places in England?

I have been to swindon before when I was living in England and I cant for the life of me think why they would do this?

The mystery is not why they twinned with a british town... but why they picked the one they did !

A lot of British people visit WDW every year.

    Mystery solved.

If this was April 1, I wouldn't pay attention to this story at all.

If anyone here knows their UK geography. Bristol (where I live) is an hour's drive away from SwindonCot (as it shall now be known).

I find the whole thing hilarious. Swindon is a total dump. There's nothing there. No history, no culture to speak of. It's just another UK concrete jungle full of scary teenagers who will stab you as soon as look at you.

I can't wait for Epcot's Swindon exibit. It's going to be totally stupid. Disney are gonna have to make up random stories to make Swindon appear interesting.

Even the name, 'Swindon' sounds like another word for, 'unclean'.

    Well done Disney!

I went ahead and added a link to the article so others can read what Swindon is.
