okay, so i haven't been to WDW at all this year (which is a big deal for me... haha), so I've been watching a metric crap ton of videos on youtube and something that really bugged me was how crappy spectromagic is. I love the music, but everything is so dated and boring... and I really don't feel like the end floats are a really great finale. So I got to thinking about how it could be made better. Here are my thoughts...
I like the intro, only the spectromen should be made less creepy and more wacky! Also, Mickey's float is gross. he looks like the birth child of a spaceman and liberace... not good. I think my only issue is the cape thing... I don't know how to fix it, but something needs to be done.
Next comes the music unit. The current music unit would mostly remain the same, except the dancing instruments would be replaced with a kinda mobile thing. It'd be like a barber shop pole but in cone shape and it would feature different types of instruments on a music staff. Also, Goofy's drums would light up different colors and flash brighter when he plays louder. The Fantasia floats would move to this area (well some of them anyway...). The "Dance of the Hours" floats would come next, then a new float based on the "Firebird Suite" from Fantasia 2000 would follow. Dancing behind the Firebird float would be the dancing flowers from "Dance of the Flutes" would transition into the Princess Gardens portion of the parade.
Leading this portion is Tinkerbell on a new float. Giant flowers surround her as she "floats" in the air. at certain points, Tink sprinkles her pixie dust over her float and causes everything to twinkle. Next comes a new Sleeping Beauty float. It's kinda like a ballroom with two towers in the front all made of vines and other flora. In the two towers, Flora and Merry Weather occasionally bicker as to what color Aurora's dress should be. This causes the dancing Aurora's dress to magically change colors. On the back of the float are giant flowers and a giant butterfly. Fauna follows behind, leading the dragon flies through the parade. Next comes a new float themed to the bayou wedding scene from The Princess and the Frog. Tiana and Naveen stand on an island in the middle of the mainly green float, surrounded by twinkling fireflies. This moves into the Little Mermaid float (but themed more to a coral garden scene).
I think I've made this thoroughly confusing, so I'm gonna sketch what I mean and then post them on here, and then finish my idea of this parade... because if I ended the parade here, I'm sure I'd get rotten tomatoes thrown at my face... eh, that still might happen, but whatever... I like it... sort of... :unsure:
