Re: Your Top Attractions at Each Park

Being a Zen hippie, it's hard to pick just one of anything, but here it goes. Maybe it'll provide something into my psyche:

                Favorite Attractions at Magic Kingdom
                1. Haunted Mansion
                2. Space Mountain
                3. Buzz Lightyear
                4. Mickey's Philharmagic
                5. Country Bear Jamboree
Least Favorite: It's a Small World.....

                Favorite Attractions at Epcot
                1. World Showcase (yes, all of it, if you don't like it poo on you...)
                2. Journey Into Imagination
                3. Innoventions (all about the hands on stuff...I'm a teacher!)
                4. Test Track
                5. Club Cool (one of those things that can perk up a warm day...)
Least Favorite: The fact that they've not added on this park for years, outside of Soarin.

Favorite Attractions at Disney Hollywood Studios
                1. Tower of Terror
                2. Prime Time Cafe
                3. Rock and Roller Coaster
                4. Muppetvision
                5.
Least Favorite: Studio tour. Why is this here still? Remove and add some rides.

                Favorite Attractions at Animal Kingdom
                1. Dinosaur
                2. Expedition Everest
                3. The Tea-cart
                4. Kilminjaro Safari
                5. The queue for Kali River Rapids
Least Favorite: The muggy heat created when you don't cut back the underbrush. Still, I'm digging.

                Peace,

What's so neat about the The queue for Kali River Rapids?

Also, I take it a lot of people don't like the Backlot Tour.

What's neater that or the Great Movie Ride?

both crappy, imo. Backlot tour used to be good, years ago, but no more. The problem with the movie ride is that it's about movies and movies are just too dated. I mean, who cares about Alien anymore? I don't like the live narration either. The whole thing is awkward and disjointed, in my opinion

                    Anyhoo:

                    Magic Kingdom:

                    1) Haunted Mansion
                    2) Space Mountain
                    3) People Mover (or as it is annoyingly really called, Tomorrowland Transporation Authority)
                    4) Peter Pan
                    5) Thunder Mountain

                    Least Favorite: Stitch's Great Escape

                    Epcot:

                    1) Finding Nemo ride
                    2) Soarin
                    3) Food and Wine Festival (only a few short weeks, but it's AWESOME and I couldn't NOT list it
                    4) The Ball ride (as we call it, can't think what it's really called)
                    5) Test Track

                    Least Favorite: The Mexico Ride

                    Hollywood Studios

                    1) Tower of Terror
                    2) Fantasmic!
                    3) RocknRollercoaster
                    4) Toy Story Mania
                    5) ??? That's about it for me at that park (though lights, motorcade, actions is cool if you've never seen it)

                    Least Favorite: Little Mermaid show

                    Animal Kingdom

                    1) Expedition Everest
                    2) Expedition Everest
                    3) Expedition Everest
                    4) Expedition Everest
                    5) My kids love the rapids ride

Least Favorite: Train ride to nothing

Hmm, just read everyone else's comments, and must give a special "shout out" to a couple of things:

                      1) Prime Time Cafe (restaurant in Hollywood Studios, it is a real hoot to dine there, and the food is good)

                      2) That WDW Fantastmic blows (compared to Disneyland's, it most certainly does)

                      3) Not being too impressed with Soarin'... I can understand that,it's just a glorified movie, but fun enough anyway...

Wow 3 people have said the Peoplemover AKA
                          Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

What makes the TTA so special?

Hmm.. ya i guess the great movie ride might be outdated. What has changed about the Backlot Tour? I was on it in 2002 and thought it was pretty cool.

The Studio Backlot Tour, (or whatever it's name is... It changes so often,) has been neutered so many times from its original attraction. Same goes for Magic of Disney Animation.

I rode it in 2005. The tank demonstration was kind of cool, and Catastrophe Canyon was fun for about 45 seconds, but the rest was boring and really not a good attraction. The real estate is so valuable, too.

Great Movie Ride needs a refresh. It's cool at its heart, but it's fallen into a rut and needs some revival.

                            Now...

                            5. Finding Nemo: The Musical
Least Favorite: Well, that's pretty much all I saw, except for Flights of Wonder, even though I enjoyed that.

Other comments: Note that Toy Story Midway Mania, Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Maelstrom, Impressions de France, Ellen's Energy Adventure, and Liberty Belle Riverboat are not on this list, although they are all candidates for favorite attractions, because I have yet to experience them.

Please note that I tolerate Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management, Journey into Imagination with Figment, and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, to a certain degree, although none of them are my favorites.

Woohoo! It will always be the People Mover to me (it's name in Disneyland, where it no longer exists)

What makes the TTA so special?

Hmm.. ya i guess the great movie ride might be outdated. What has changed about the Backlot Tour? I was on it in 2002 and thought it was pretty cool.
The Peoplemover just rocks in it's simplicity. A nice, long, relaxing zip around Tomorrowland, through Space Mountain. I do (achingly) miss the narration (which was changed along with the Space Mountain refurb) It used to say "Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow" and "Your party from Saturn has arrived. Please give them a ring" Oh, the little things...

Anyhoo, that ride never has a wait (pretty much impossible by design), you can put your feet up, relax, feel a little breeze... It's great in the afternoon, when you're tired and want to relax, yet somehow it entertains the kids. My husband and I always joke that the only thing that's missing is a castmember handing you a martini as you board!

This is one of those things where if you don't get why it's so great, you will never understand why it's so great! (How I feel about Living with the Land in Epcot, which many people love, and I just will never understand why)

As for the Back Lot tour, I remember years ago you could see Michael Jackson's outfit from one of his videos, the house from the Golden Girls, Dorothy's shoes from Wizard of Oz, and now you can see, um, absolutely nothing!

The Studio Backlot Tour, (or whatever it's name is... It changes so often,) has been neutered so many times from its original attraction. Same goes for Magic of Disney Animation.

                                .
I guess the version I rode was cool. Least I thought it was, but if you say it has been "neutered" then maybe I will not waste my time on it this upcoming trip to WDW. Yes, Star tours made my list too but I find it old and bla. I like star warz, so if it wasn't for the theme of star warz, it wouldn't have made my list.

Yes, I might ride Living with the Land since it seems so well liked here! Looking at it, Living with the Land seems boring! I'll definitely ride the PeopleMover in the afternoon when I need a break from lines.

haha that is funny . Thanks for the response!

I'm a roller coaster fan. I've rode some of the biggest ones at Cedar Point: Millenium Force, Top ThrilL Dragster, the Maverick, etc.

I saw this is a roller coaster like ride: Primeval Whirl
Is there any special Disney theming to go with it? Generally roller coasters at Disney are not good unless there is good theme. (I.e. California Screamin' = lame theming but an OK ride) Is this just a lame roller coaster similiar to say a wild mouse type i.e. Mul. Madness at Disneyland only with a little spinning?

Hmm, I don't know what Mul. Madness is, but Primeval Whirl is nothing great, imo. It is an "outdoor" ride with little theming, in the carnival/dinosaur section of AK. The car spins and jerks this way and that way as it progresses through the ride. I've ridden it once and never again, way too jerky for me, and not much thrill. My kids like it OK, though I wouldn't say it's their favorite. NO comparison at all to the roller coasters of Cedar Point

What is Mul. Madness? California Advendure thing? I grew up going to Disneyland, but now living in Fla, I can only go once in a blue moon

Yup, Ride is found in DCA (Disney California Adventure).

Mullholland Madness (not sure of spelling on Mullholland). It's a wild mouse type coaster designed to look like the curvy road Mullholland that goes near the Hollywood sign in Beverly Hills of LA.
I actually drove on the rode for some and it was quite bendy and very scenic! The ride less than awe inspiring; was OK for a carnival type thrill. Not Disney caliber though.
