  • [Question] Disney Art Print on Demand

I recently visited WDW and found that the Print on Demand system was down for an undetermined amount of time. This was disapointing since we wanted to buy attraction posters for our home. Does anyone know if this service has been restored yet? Or even better, is there a way to order these prints online?

It will not be restored in the foreseeable future. That's all I can say.

Wow, that explains why I still can't get in touch and get my BTMRR sent to me from the art of Disney store...

Can't say I am very sad we had an absolutely horrible experiance with the print on demand. This was a few years ago though but we got a print of the Nautilus and picked it up only to find when we got home that the paper was warped and the colors were streaked (almost like that printer was running out of ink). So we took it back on our next trip (1 month later) after calling their customer service line. We get there and end up arguing with a AOD CM for 20 minutes (he said the problem was the picture was not dried or framed within the proper time), the CM finally summons a DTD manager who knew nothing about the product or the printing process. He finally talks us into getting a reprint and a discount on framing and free priority shipping.

So guess what we get the "new" picture in the frame a month later and it looks almost exactly like the one we returned, but with less streaking still very warped though. So on our next trip 2 months later we bring it back and again end up arguing with a CM. When the CM finally got a DTD manager he again had no clue as to the printing process but this time decided to argue with us about how the picture looked! After almost an hour we finally got a complete refund.

If our experience was in anyway representative of the average one I can see how they would go out of business if they are constantly replacing prints because of poor quality.

Also it was my understanding that the actual print was done in a back room at AOD and only the framing company was out of town.

It's been down for a little while now. I don't think any reasons have come out for why this has happened, but I'm hoping it's to add options. I'd love to have a Mr. Toad and Big Thunder Mountain poster from Disney World.

You may have some luck on eBay for attraction posters, but the quality may be a bit lower than what's available through print on demand.

They should have issued a refund if you didn't get it.

No I was wanting to order a BTMRR print, but they're system was "down" so that wasn't a possibility

It would be amazing to me if another vendor has not already stepped up begging to do this for Disney. GOLDMINE, hello?

At last check, they only had the Disneyland poster anyways.

I'm really hoping it comes back. Because, unfortunately, this is the only source to get these.

either way I'd take either one...
