    Re: One Man's Dream Update

I am glad for the change, I think Julie Andrews is more appropriate than Mr. Eisner, who has severed all official ties to the company (He still does own stock).

Ms. Andrews has spent more time with Walt Disney than Mr. Eisner did, and is a better host, especially during this 50th celebration.

Makes sense to me... Eisner is history (:clap and Ms. Andrews is the honorary ambassador for Disneyland's 50th.

I am surprised to see that they updated the film so quickly. Thanks for the heads up Mike!

ORWEN: So many people were booing Mr. Eisner most of the times us Cauldron girls went to see the film. That's another reason why it's a good thing they up-dated the film.

ORGOCH: Heck!! We was the one's booin' him the MOST!!

ORDDU: Well, no one's going to be booing Mary Poppins, now are they?

..and I love your Minnie overlay of Madonna's Confessions^^^ Cute!!

I too am glad to see Eisner's being erased from Disney Co. I love Julie and am glad she is in. I was very disappointed she didn't attend DL's 50th on July 17th. I wanted to see her so very much.

                Re: One Man's Dream Update

I'm glad I saw the film when I did... you see, I went to see it on Eisner's last day as CEO... it was the only place I could possibly pay tribute to the man that did so many great things for the company during the early part of his leadership. Yeah, he started to suck after his bypass surgery, but he was good up till then.

I was hoping Iger would be put in that video though, not Andrews... oh well. She's like the un-official grandmother of the company anyway. Hee hee. Still a good fit.

                  Re: One Man's Dream Update

I feel at this point in time Iger does not remotely qualify to be on any Disney related video of any kind until he earns his right to be there, regardless of being CEO.

See, I just have a lot of faith in Iger.

Me too. However, Bob Iger does not have the face/voice value yet that Michael Eisner had. The general public already new Eisner's face from when he did the Wonderful World of Disney segments. He also has a very destiguishable voice. Iger has not built this up yet and the public doesn't really know his face and voice. Another person do this instead of Julie Andrews (who I think is also a great choice) could also have been Art Linkletter.

I see Julie Andrews as an official company mascot, right up there with Mickey, Jiminy and Tink. She is EVERYWHERE! (not that I'm complaining, big up the Brits!)

Bob has also made it clear that he doesn't want to be quite the public celebrity that Eisner was trying to make himself out to be and put others in the spotlight instead.

This seems to be a bit of proof of that fact.

Well, she was NOT there on DL's big day in July and I was quite disappointed she skipped the real birthday bash..
