  • [Question] Ticket booth/scanner closing times?

Hey guys, I have a question regarding the latest time you can arrive at a park such as the Magic Kingdom. So here is my plan. I will like to go to Epcot on my first day at the parks. I saw the time of closing on the internet and it says they close at 9pm with illuminations also at 9pm. I am also staying on disney property so I do get Extra Magic Hours. My question is that if I leave epcot at lets say 9:30 and head to Magic kingdom that closes at 11pm but has extra magic hours till 2am will I be able to enter the park. I also have annual passes so I can park hop. I just want to make sure when I get there they dont turn me down because they closed the ticket scanners to enter the park at the entrance.

In order to experience Extra Magic Hours, you have to be in the park when it closes. Once you go outside the turnstiles, your out for the night.

Leaving EPCOT at 9:30 you'll definitely be at MK before they close at 11, so you'll be fine.

I strongly disagree with the above. It is incorrect. You most certainly CAN enter an evening EMH park after the park has closed to the public. In other words, if MK closes to the public at 11 p.m. and has EMH until 2 a.m., a Disney resort guest can enter MK at 1:30 a.m., for example.

        Disney fact.
