  • [Question] Do the hotels next to Downtown Disney get extra magic hours?

My boyfriend and I are planning my birthday trip to Disney in November and are planning on staying in one of the hotels that are right next to Downtown Disney ( like the Double Tree, Wyndham or Royal Plaza) Do these hotels get the extra magic hours also? I though a couple of years ago they did but I'm not sure if they still do.

Thank you for any answers that everyone can give me!

    Hilton is the only one.

More information here: Hilton Orlando Resort | Downtown Disney Resort Area Hotel

Yeah only the Hilton gets it. I really like the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd though. I've stayed at the Hilton, Royal Plaza (twice) and the Wyndham (2 or 3 times... when it was the Grosvenor).

Like everyone else said before only the Hilton.

And only the Hilton has disney bus transportation. The other hotels (doubletree, et al.) all share the same buses. And they are always full to capacity and it's confusing at time because you have to look for the downtown disney hotels spot #. So if you didn't take the bus to that park you leave from you have to really look for it. Plus some buses to the different parks run on a half hour schedule, others hourly.

I recommend renting a car, or if that is not in your budget to stay at one of the disney hotels. The Bus transportation although not spectacular from the value hotels will be many times better than the bus transportation at the downtown disney hotels. (with the exception of the Hilton hotel)

And honestly, in my experiences at WDW i have never used the extra magic hours. You get to the parks early walk around all day and do stuff, go back to the hotel late at night and crash and do it all again... lol
