  • [Question] Did they ever remove the asbestos from Space Mountain?

I was reading earlier on early plans for the 2009 rehab of Space Mountain and one of the changes was:
    "asbestos removal".
Considering all the budget cuts did they ever remove it? If not doesn't that go against federal safety regulations?

Asbestos Removal would never be cut if it were part of the plans. Usually things that get cut due to budget are the thematic elements.

No, they did not! It is not safe for anyone to ride! Please stay off this ride! I will make the sacrifice to ride it all by myself, just so they don't close it.

The budget cuts were themeing and the new ride system. The Asbestos removal took up a bulk of the budget.
