  • [Question] One day @ Magic Kingdom - Is photopass worth it?

Question .. or maybe a poll

I'm going to orlando on business in a few weeks and the wife and little girl are coming along with me.
I'm only allotting one day for Disney. I am undecided about getting a pre-paid photopass. My wife doesn't think we should get it because it is just one day. But I feel stupid our first time to Disney that I didn't take time to read the photopass and ended up with a CD near the end of our trip.

    Thanks for your input.

No. Most of the photos are shaky and it's expensive as hell (considering what you get). Bring a point and shoot with you.

      A fellow Canadian!

Yeah...I figure that's what i'd be doing. I guess I was thinking if someone could convince me to do the pre-pay then i'd only have to pay $99 instead of the $149. My wife wants me to give her the $99 for her to spend instead. haha.

      Thanks for your input.

No. Photo pass is by far the biggest rip off! Bing your own camera. Ask any cast member or tourist to snap your photo. It's easy and free!

No way. Go ahead and use the Photopass service - you might wind up wanting to buy one or two prints and the Photopass photogs will be happy to also take your picture with your camera too - but there's no way you'd get the value of the pre-paid service in one day.

After talking with a Photopass CM at EPCOT my last trip, no it wouldn't be worth it, your best bet is to actually bring your own camera and have the Photopass CMs take your photos for you...the cost v.s. the value of the photos you get from Photopass wouldn't be worth it, I would buy another SD card before I paid for the Photopass photos...

It may be different this time of year when crowds are thinner, but the last time I was at WDW the Photopass photographers were so busy it would have been a huge waste of time to stand around waiting for them to take my picture.
