    Re: Bistro de Paris ruined?

I see the problem. You and I have completely differently scaled palates. I'm glad you find dining there to be a considerably more enjoyable experience than I.

e.g.: I have at least three places walking distance from my house with "authentic, tasty mexican cuisine".

well, that's your opinion I guess, I've been to mexico and wdw with a friend from Mexico and we shared the same opinion so guess its agree to disagree there. I have a love of food and have eaten at many restaurants both domestic and international as well as cook as a hobby. its definitely not great across the board but its fun, different, and at some locations a great experience. That's why I said your statement was unfounded, we can certainly have different tastes but the quality of the dish always remains the same to every person as long as the dish is made consistently. That is of course you are implying that I'm unrefined in some way? Just out of curiosity what would you consider an "inspired" dining experience?

Please don't read any more into my comments than what I've actually written. Here's an example of what I think a nice Saturday Night Out is:

Jeez did they remove all the authentic french meals? No they just added something for the kids who don't like authentic french food. Nothing more.

As a kid I never liked eating anything that wasn't hom-ie, sure Ive changed now but what if my parents brought me when I was little and they wanted to try out that restaurant? They couldn't because I wouldn't eat anything on the menu.
