  • [Question] Which WDW Restaurants to Make ADR for?

Here's a list of restaurants we would like to visit on our upcoming August trip:

‘Ohana (for the Lilo and Stitch breakfast)
    Garden Grill
    Sanaa (lunch)
    La Cellier (dinner)
    Yak and Yeti Restaurant
    Jiko
    Boma
    Restaurant Marrakesh
    Chefs De France
    Citricos (dinner)
    Hollywood Brown Derby (dinner)
    Raglan Road Irish Pub (dinner)
    50’s Prime Time Cafe (lunch)

Out of this list, are there any restaurants that I DON'T need to make reservations for? And for those that do need reservations, should I make them the full 180 days in advance?

Any other restaurants suggestions are welcome!

ANY table service restaurant it is highly recommended you make an ADR. There are times when you could do a walk up, but it saves the headache of possibly being turned away.

Le Cellier is going to be the hardest restaurant to get a reservation for so yeah I would totally try to reserve it as early as possible. I would go ahead and make reservations for all of them so as to not take any chances.

        Hey, welcome to MiceChat!

I echo the need to attempt reservations at all the locations you've decided on. We have also had good luck several times when we were just winging it and stopped into a restaurant that we knew we would enjoy. The CMs have always been very gracious, and do their best to accommodate us. Sometimes we've been escorted right in, and other times we've been asked to come back a short time later to fill a reservation that had been cancelled.

I think we've eaten at all of your restaurants with the exception of Sanaa. Also, if you can't book all the places you have in mind, we had incredible service and a great meal at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club Resort. We had hoped to go La Cellier, but couldn't get reservations. We mentioned that to a front desk clerk at our Disney hotel, and she asked if we would consider an alternative that she actually preferred. She called right then and booked us at the Yachtsman. We love La Cellier, but the Yachtsman had impeccable service, great food, similar pricing, and we have recommended it repeatedly to friends. Best part of the story . . . our friend at the front desk called us the next day to be sure our experience was a good one!

        Have a great trip!

I'm also going in August, and there was only one or two openings left at Le Cellier, so you need to jump on that fast!! And go ahead and make reservations at the rest, if nothing else you'll have that peace of mind during your trip.

Not to be overly picky, but it's not a Mexican restaurant - it's French Canadian, hence Le Cellier.

Remember you can make ADR for 180 days ahead. We just got back from WDW last week. Chef Mickey's had no reservations available for the entire time we were there. Raglan Road is an awesome resteraunt. It was packed the night we went.

Make sure you book now. Also for character meals, you need to place a credit card on file. It keeps your reservation in place. Cinderella's Royal Table is the only one that charges your card ahead of time. Since it is very popular. Also it is highly advisable that you purchase the Deluxe Dining Plan. Well worth the money.

I was with you right up to this, Skyway. Most folks who have done the deluxe DDP have said that it's way too much food, and people have had to work very hard to make sure they were getting their money's worth.
