  • [Fun] Snow White's Scary Adventures tribute

Given today is the last operating day, some materials about the Disney World classic.

A fantastic article by blogger FoxxFur about the 1971 'original' version and how it was changed is here.

A rather dark ride through from 1990, but gives you some sense what Foxx is referring to in her article:

And the re-vamped version as it existed until being closed permanently, later today.

Sad to see this one go, myself, even though personally I liked it more before the 90's refurb FoxxFur describes having ridden it as such maybe twice and being rather astounded and captivated by it's weirdness/darkness level.

I guess kids in 1990 were more used to being scared, because their Moms all had those horrible perms.

      RIP Snow White's Scary Adventures

      1971-2012

Now Fantasyland loses yet another classic dark ride.

ORWEN: It's a travesty, it is! I'll never forgive that awful Tom Staggs person!

          "When the car stops..."

We lost that with Toad, and now Snow White.

But how cool was the fact that the entire ride ended in death?

          Kinda like toad.

I'm sad to see it go, because it was a classic dark ride. And it is being replaced by a meet and greet. Ugh I can't get over that. Anyways, I wish they could have still found a way keep it.

However, that being said, that ride gave me the creeps. And I'm a teenager! I never would have ridden on it as a kid. So I can see why the new Snow White ride is going to be a little more kid friendly.
