Re: Well, did not know Carthay Circle was over at Disney's Hollywood Studios "first".
Yup - it's been there as long as Sunset Blvd has been there; sign and all.I knew if this business was ever to get anywhere, if this business was ever to grow, it could never do it by having to answer to someone unsympathetic to its possibilities, by having to answer to someone with only one thought or interest, namely profits. For my idea of how to make profits has differed greatly from those who generally control businesses such as ours. I have blind faith in the policy that quality, tempered with good judgment and showmanship, will win against all odds.

Yes, it serves as a facade for a gift shop and is nowhere near as big as DCA's.- Adventure Is Waiting -

Yep, but even though they existed at DHS first, Carthay Circle Theater and the Pan Pacific entrance are much grander at DCA. DHS's Carthay is pathetic.

This series has great info on the buildings at DHS and if you keep going it gets into DCA as well.

All of the hollywood buildings in DHS's blvds are done with 'design ques' taken from the historic and notable architechures of Hollywood. They aren't built to be direct scale replicas like the DCA Carthay was.
They are almost like charactures of the buildings. The Carthay shows that the most as it really is just about the marque and iconic tower. None of them should be critiqued as 'not enough like the original' - because they don't even try.Check out my blog - Coreplex: Rambling from inside the Grid
