That...was...AWESOME!!!!! Now the ride truly comparable to RSR and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the whole restoration of the purpose of Futurworld.
See ya walkin' right down the middle of o'l Main Street USA
"THAT'S RIGHT CARNEGIE STEEL BUILT THIS PLACE"!!!!!
Please pardon me while I pick up my jaw from the floor and lodge it back into it's place.
This is one of the only good "upgrades" to a ride we've seen in a while.

Yes, and no. The things RSR and JTOCOTE do soo well is immersion. When riding both rides you are pretty much encapsulated with the theme. The main problem with the new Test Track is that the real world theme of the first ride, and the new computer-ized theme of 2.0 clash soo badly. Especially in the transition from the crash test to the speed portion. If they wanted this ride to be as immersive as RSR and Journey they should have enclosed the speed portion and continued the theme of the computer, some neon strips and pitch black could have been used to even make the ride feel faster than it really is. A missed opportunity if you ask me.
But the indoor portion is very cool. It really gives me high hopes for the Iron Man attraction at DL.
If you don't mind me asking, why? The themes seem a bit distant (apart from Stark having a weapons firm).
The new indoor portions show off some great use of screen/projection/lighting technology, something that has advanced a lot in the past decade. At least for me this does give my hope when looking forward to what can be done with "futuristic" theming.
