  • [Chat] Comical Tombstones at the Haunted Mansion & Real ones!

So, anyone who is a fan of the Haunted Mansion knows the Haunted Mansion has some witty and comical Tomb Stones but, did you know that some real comical Tomb Stones exist?

"Master Gracey Laid to Rest no Mourning at His Request, Please!" (Among others)

One day I was sitting here thinking about my past Adventures to certain States in the world, and the vacations I have had so, I started sorting though some pictures I had took in Tennessee. Wom (w/e) Behold I remembered some tomb stones they had in the Ripley's Believe it or not Museum!!!

I think whoever had the idea for the comical Tomb stones must have ether been in a Ripley's Museum OR they had some how learned about the real ones that do exist!

I was wanting to share these links with all of you... They are clickable! If you don't want to lick on them its okay seeing I found them during a Google image search.

The only ones I know of are:

    "Here lies Lester Moore.
    Four slugs from a forty-four.
    No Les, no more."

    and

    "Here lies Johnny Yeast.
    Pardon me for not rising."

Did you know the funny HM headstones are approaching 40 years old. It's nothing new and well mimicked.

Well some of those Tombstones are a bit older then the ones in the Haunted Mansion. In fact Robert Ripley was the one who found the ones he has in the museums. So, I think the Haunted Mansion copied those.

Because the Robert Clay Allison one dates back to the late 1800's
