  • [Review] Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress

Walt Disney was a genious. A fascinating show with animatronics progressing through the years. Another one of my top attractions to see when at Disney. After closing the Carousel in California they shipped it to Orlando so this is the original. "Theres a great big beautiful tomorrow!"

The same "man" narrates it through out. Great animatronics.
This is a nice way to relax out of the heat too. I started to fall asleep during it the last time because I was worn out, not because of the ride.
Basically you follow a family from the turn of the century to today, seeing how progress has changed the way we live. The song is catchy and my daughter was still singing it weeks after we got home!

How recently did you ride it and what kind of shape was it in?

    I also
LOVE this attraction :ap: with either of the Sherman Brothers songs.
This and the Peoplemover are two of my WDW temptations,
along with WDW's proximity to the constantly improving Universal Orlando.

            Thanks, Bongo!

Of course if you're having an awful day the lyrics "Now is the best time of your life" can be depressing.

Re: Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress

A synthesized version of the "Now is the Time" music also plays briefly on the people mover between Space Mountain and the Carousel of Progress.
It bothers me when people selectively edit quotes to support whatever point they are trying to prove.
