  • [Question] Status of Roger Rabbit silhouette in Eddie Valiant's window

This classic hidden Easter egg of MGM Studios was deteriorating on my last visit in May of 2012. If you're unfamiliar with it, it's located above the entrance to the Hollywood & Vine restaurant in Echo Lake. Conveniently, Eddie Valiant's office and Roger's silhouette in the blinds are right near a Maroon Cartoon Studios billboard, a Rocketeer-themed drink stand and the tank from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, relics of the era when MGM Studios opened. Anyway, it looked as though the blinds were smashed and the silhouette was falling apart, no longer resembling Roger! Here's how it looked last year:

I'm curious if this has deteriorated further, perhaps been repaired or removed altogether.

This breaks my heart. I love Roger Rabbit, and am so sad that no Roger attractions were ever built at DHS. For myriad reasons, Roger's not a priority for Disney and I just hate that. So much can be done with him.

I never even knew that was there. Next time I'm at the park (was at Epcot this past week but I go once a month as I'm an AP holder) I'll look for it and see.

Loved the Roger references originally at DHS and still pine for the never built rides :-(

one continuity point though is that Roger doesn't jump through Eddies window but RK Maroons at the studio, still a nice Easter egg though

I don't think it was a "continuity point"...since I just assumed that Roger jumped out of Eddie's office at a later date. I figured they stayed friends after the movie ended and that this could have happened after that.

Yes, that works out perfectly for continuity. It has to be after the events of the movie because the agency is no longer "Valiant & Valiant". Just ignore the "No Toons" sign that used to be there.

For what it's worth, the Maroon Studios billboard had faded and deteriorated to being shameful and is the kind of thing that would normally be on everybody and their mother's "declining by degrees" photo reports... But a month or two ago it was replaced by a brand new fresh one and looks great.
