  • [Question] Any Plans To Update Ticket and Transportation Center?

Are there any plans to update the Ticket and Transportation Center at WDW? I mean the area where you board the monorail after getting off the tram from the parking lot. I hadn't visited for a number of years, but was there this last fall, and I thought the monorail boarding area looked really tired and dated looking. It really hasn't changed at all since the park opened in 1971, I think, and is almost embarrassing in its appearance. The monorail boarding area at Epcot looks far better in comparison. Anyone else agree?

    Thanks

I think it's due, but have not heard of any plans.

The signs and gates at the Transportation and Ticket Center were updated around the same time the road signs around the property turned from brown to purple. I'm pretty sure that was sometime in the early 90s. That's still 20 years ago, so the place is definitely due. The thing is, the road signs, parking trams, and buses all share that purple red and yellow color scheme.
It bothers me when people selectively edit quotes to support whatever point they are trying to prove.

i doubt any major restorations or changes would be made unless something significant were to be happening to the area, such as another monorail line or an overhaul/expansion of the bus station. makes more sense to do everything at once, not little projects all over the place at the same time.

WDW resort as a whole needs a massive transportation overhaul. Lets cross our fingers it happens sooner rather than later!
