  • [Question] Halloween Party 2014

I know we are just into the new year, but I am trying to get a head start on a promise to the family.

How far in advance will Halloween Party dates be announced?

Any insider tips, tricks or advice?

Are the wife and I going to be the only adults in costume?

    Hi HR,

I'm waiting for for the dates, too. Looking online, over the past two years, the earliest that dates were announced was on April 30th, however the tickets don't go on sale until around the 1st week in May.

It will likely start on September 9th. Be on the rest of the Tuesday and Fridays in September. In October the part dates don't follow a pattern but have one at least every three days through the month.

Like Aladdin said in May they should be out.

I really like the party at Disneyland better. So my only advice for WDW is go the hub during the first parade, not early just while it's happening. Then stand on the street when it's done to watch the fireworks. Then wait for the second parade.

      Not at all.

The party dates will probably be announced in late spring. Buy in advance online to get a *tiny* discount.

You'll be able to enter the park starting at 4:00pm with your party ticket, but the party doesn't officially start until 7pm and it gors until midnight.

Skip the first parade showing and do the 2nd as it's less crowded.

There are LOTS of adults in costume, so no worries there.

We might have the option of going to Disneyland. I take it you have been to both. Is DL a little better or significantly better than the MK version? What are the major differences?

Biggest thing is they have 2 attractions overlays at DL. A better fireworks show. A smaller park makes for better atmosphere. Some uncrowded areas in the park. Except for those two attractions the other's are walk on at night during the party.

MK has a better parade, DL's is really limited. MK has more people in general and everything is crowded. DL gets really crowded for a couple hours when part guests and regular guests are in the park at the same time, MK being a bigger park handles this better.
