  • [Question] Disney World newbie Disneyland pro question

    Hello -
I am traveling 3-16-13 through 3-22-13. I made reservations for Chef Mickey at 7:15 am on 3-20 when Magic Kingdom opens at 8 am. We are staying at the Dolphin. Would we be able to get transportation to the contemporary at that time?

They should be running the busses at that time in order to get guests to the Magic Kingdom. I'm not entirely sure if they have a bus directly to the Magic Kingdom, but I'm pretty sure they'll have a bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center. If you hop onto the bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center, take the resort Monorail to the Contemporary.

I believe the Dolphin's concierge desk can call for a bus to take you where you need to go, even if it's during off-hours time.

You will want to have that request pre-planned, or make it at least an hour before that 7:15am reservation period if you want to make it there in time. Those buses don't move very fast.

Doubt that they would call for a bus for just your group. Best to take a taxi to the hotel. I did it once and it was less than $10.

I took a cab from Poly to the Boardwalk(I think about the same distance) it was about 16$ +tip...

When we went to Chef Mickeys that trip we did take the bus to Magic Kingdom(same bus is used by Boardwalk and Dolphin) and then Monorail to Contemporary or if u want to walk you can. Or reservation was at 0730.

            PLEASE READ THIS.

            This if full proof.

Take a character meal bus to the MK. They don't depart often so check the departure times when you are there. From the MK bus drop of it's about 10 or 12 minute walk. There is a walking path north of the bus drop off that goes back to the Contemporary.
