  • [Question] Making Mickey Shaped Towels

Has anyone ever tried to duplicate the Mickey Shaped Towels that so often appear on the beds at the Walt Disney World Hotels? I'm especially curious about the technique for creating the washrag ears, as my son was particularly entranced by the little 'balls'. Thanks!

They make what Disney calls towelgami at many places in the world. Likely swan shaped napkins being the most common.

On the Disney Cruise Line, for an onboard activity, they have classes showing you how to do it.

Close, Timon'sGirl. The only difference is that the ears were little knots, rather than just loops. Love that avatar!

Thanks for the link, DisneyNerdTom. I'll take a closer look when my stuffed up head is more clear in the morning.

swampymarsh, I've never really wanted to go on a Disney Cruise (too much family separation for me, plus the latest word on all the cruise line stomach illness has me totally freaked out), but you've certainly piqued my interest. I love origami and a whole class on towelgami?! Maybe someday...
