  • College Program Questions

Hi everyone! The WDW college program will be visiting my school soon for interviews. I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice on what to expect. Any past or present college program interns advice would help a lot. Thanks guys.

Sure what did ya wanna know? People have a different take on it but for me it was the best thing i've ever done =o) If you do go though make sure you save up enough money before ya go down..they dont pay you till something like the 3rd week there usually and they only pay 6.25 and hour ..but ya get to walk around the parks for free so even though your broke theres no lack of something to do =o)

They pay 6.40 now. At least that's what I read. I'm planning on doing the program too. Hopefully Fall Advantage.

Best thing I can tell you to do is use the slightly lame hack-neyed advice that was given to me last year at this time "Be yourself"
I know, see, lame. But really that's all you have to do. Make sure your personality is on display, don't worry too much. It's a group interview so just try to be more outgoing than the people with you.
If you get in, it's what you make of it. I had a great time but I know others that loathed it. It all depends.

CP's rent is anywhere from $69/week to $81/week including utilities and the College Program's transportation.

                Breakdown:

                OLD rates:

                $6.00/hour x minimum 30 hours per week - $71/week max rent = $109 before taxes

                $6.00/hour x minimum 30 hours per week - $69/week min rent = $111 before taxes

                NEW rates:

                $6.40/hour x minimum 30 hours per week - $81/week max rent = $111 before taxes

                $6.40/hour x minimum 30 hours per week - $69/week min rent = $123 before taxes

Yes, you do come away with more money. Not a lot more, but more.

                  Re: College Program Questions

Has anyone done the phone interviews? Kind of intimidating, if you ask me. I think I'd almost rather meet in person...
