I never really cared for Fastpass in general. Ironically, I use it anyway.

Personally, I think Star Tours is one of those attractions that just don't need our admission prices to go up for a FP system.

    that's very good to hear

so in WDW the playing field is as close to equal as it can get anyways (DL really went crazy with overusing fastpass and like I said unnetworked machines are just dumb and don't make since unless your FAVORing locals)

ST hasn't needed FP in a number of years-- outside of SW weekends

but then again I'm glad that WDW doesn't have unnetworked machines the way DL does (or am I wrong?) Unnetworked machines are the biggest sin of all, they give locals an unprecidented advantage over tourists (unless tourists dish out alot of $$$ for the so called "unlimited fastpass")

While the concept of FastPass is good, the real-world usage is less than it should be. Disney overdid it by plastering it on so many attractions that don't need it. At WDW, things like Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Maelstrom, Living with the Land, any of the 3D movies etc ... immediately come to mind.

It also does waste queues, even on attractions where having it is a good thing. Nothing like having hundreds of people stand outside and bake in the Florida sun when the interior queue on Space Mountain isn't being utilized. This is another example of Disney implementing something before they understood how it would work under real world conditions.

I agree with you 150% also TDL. Besides waiting in line gives you a sort of break from running around and dodging SUV sized strollers.

Agreed 150%. FP has only created more clutter in attraction queues. If you go to a theme park, you know there will be lines. The time you wait waiting for the FP window to open is usually more than the time you would wait in the stand by line in some cases, which re-emphasizes the fact that FP was only conceived as a way to get people out of lines and into the shops. Besides..asking others to wait longer while some just walk on by seem so discriminatory to me...concidering all guests pay the price of admission. FP should go altogether, and restore the order in queues and make good use of them as originally designed.

No worries - it's not really in need of FastPass IMO.
