  • Everest Now Takes Your Picture! (With Photos)

Okay everyone, here's this weekend's big update. Kodak was out installing cameras last week, and you can now buy photos. The photo is taken right before the big drop. Photos of all the new stuff can be found here...

I'll be skipping that line. I don't normally do on-ride photos anyway. Only one I ever bought was when my friends and I did dorky faces on Test Track.

I am so glad that you can see only the left side of the photo.

I just want to comment that the prices that Disney is asking for a picture is OUTRAGEOUS! I mean the most likely size someone would want is a 5x7. Disney used to offer that size at TOT, Splash, and Space Mountain for about $10. Now you cannot get just one 5x7. They make you buy TWO for about $20. Why do you need two? The cheapest photo is 8x10. That is huge for just a fun photo! Also they want about $17 for it!

Since they are printing this out the photo themselves, it probably does not cost more than a buck for the whole thing any size, maybe even less.

All I can advise people to do is just take a photo of it with your digital camera. Disney just charges way too much!

Actually, the software they have, unless I am mistaken, allows them to reposition the photograph to capture and focus on the people that are actually getting the picture. Or they can do this at other rides, for example California Screamin'.

It looks like the person next to you had their face smashed into the mountainside.

That's cool. One more photo I'll eventually be able to add to my collection where I have an unidentifiable expression on my face. My current collection (of two - Tower of Terror and Splash Mountain) are priceless.
