  • I Met Roy Disney!

While at the Magic Kingdom I was walking past Peter Pan's Flight when I noticed a guest relations guide with an older lady and gentleman. Upon a closer look I realized that this was Roy Disney. So very quietly and discretely I walked over and asked him if he would take a quick pic. with me and he said sure. I thanked him and shook his hand. It was a once in a lifetime encounter.

Tricia Jones:When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...
Brodie: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Hey that's great! Very nice that you had the oppurtunity to meet him.

Very cool. I hope you gave him the wink of solidarity without blowing his cover.

On another note - I once met Brent Mydland at WDW. I hesitate to post the details as this is a 'family' board, but its a great story..........

I have too ... on numerous occassions.

He is a wonderful man. Very down to earth, humble and quite willing to speak with guests.

Very Lucky! (And I'm Very Jealous!) I'd kill to meet Roy Disney... Or Micheal Eisner. One to thank, and to show the other the definition of dissent shareholder.

(I just can't resist saying this: I hope Roy's not going out of his way to blend into the crowd at WDW... With glasses like those your bound to be noticed by us crazy Disney Geeks)

you are one lucky person. I got a chance to get a glimpse of art linkletter in july and not name dropping I spent about a minute or so with bob iger during the same day. but roy is the one person I have always wanted to meet. just think of it, to shake the hand of someone who shook the hand of walt disney. wow!!!
