  • Question about a wallpaper I made?

I made a computer wallpaper about Everest using a few of the texture files found from the everest game disney released. Would it be against this site's policy for me to put a link up to it so that you all could see it and use it for your own pc's if you wanted?

Considering that memebers have done it in the past, I don't see why it would be a problem. I would love to see it! And since I usually change my desktops a lot and they are usually Disney I would probably use it too.

the file is 1024x768. It should save to that size if you do a save as background off of it. If your desktop is larger than that, then just go in and stretch it in the properties. Just be careful, if it's a lot larger it'll look weird stretched. My desktop at work is slightly bigger and it looks fine though.

If it's not saving at the correct size for some reason, just go to http://www.kevandtiff.com/images/per...wallpaper5.jpg and do it from there.

I'm not real happy with the font on the top. I may try it without the bevel and emboss or search for some more fonts. I really like how the middle and the bottom came out however.

ok, I made a few changes. I may eventually change the font on the bottom since someone pointed out how much they hate the ancient script font, but I haven't found something I like better. I have however changed the top to something I'm much happier with.

that top font looks much better than the first one. Are you using photoshop? If so, you should create some snow.

yes, photoshop. The snow effect is what I attempted to do in the bottom section.

you can make a very nice snow effect if you filter> add noise, then mess with the levels and cotrast. make sure you have gaussian and monochromatic turned on in the noise filter.

alright, I think I'm done as much as I'm going to do on this. I'm not sure exactly what portion you were saying to do the snow effect on, but I added the snow effect I liked best to the entire background and also added a nice little effect to the image in the middle to set it off more.

I'll listen to some more suggestions. I know one person hated the font I used at the bottom. If you can point out a font that would be better themed to this wallpaper than that I'll be happy to give it a try, but until then, this is probably my final offering.

Excellent! Used the last one as my wallpaper at work. I'll let you know what comments I get on it. My co-workers have yeti...I mean yet to see it.
