Re: Your Walt Disney World Top 10

Didn't say rides only, so I'm going to include shows I've seen as well as rides I've ridden.

    1. Illuminations: RoE
    2. Mission: Space
    3. Soarin' (very, very close 3rd to Space)
    4. Expedition: Everest
    5. Festival of the Lion King
    6. Living Seas
    7. Space Mountain
    8. Big Thunder Mountain
    9. Spaceship Earth
    10. Haunted Mansion

If we could count rides that are now gone, I'd add Horizons to that list. Not sure what I'd remove to make room for Horizons...

Re: Your Walt Disney World Top 10

I only have a top 5, in no particular order:

                    Spaceship Earth
                    Peoplemover
                    Philharmagic
Contemporary (getting old, but probably the last example of Disney trying something totally unique)
                    Treehouse v1.0

I just spent more time looking at things than doing things during my trip, and I don't feel right reaching for filler like the Land boat ride.

Test Track could have been on the list if it was only open when I was there, as it's the kind of thing that's right up my alley (fast but not high and keeping you rightside up at all times.)

Space is starting to show the signs of it's condition, but I don't really know what's so horrible about it. If you're used to DLP's Space then I can see why the Florida one looks like rubbish. I'm making a 2-day visit to DL next week. Since it's been about 30 years since I last rode the Matterhorn, I'll have to give that one a try and compare. It's possible that WDW's Space may actually be remembered as smooth by the time I leave.

It's not the real Sorcery in the Sky though. In fact, I don't think they even call it that anymore. The final performance was on June 25, 2005 for some convention (I was waiting on the walkway from the Epcot resorts to see it, but because I was an idiot, I left before it started. Of course the exact moment I got into my hotel room it began).

yep... a lot of old school and extinct attractions. But I love them. And of course this past Not So Scary parade, because they tend to change it up every year... my favorite part of course was the Mansion part. You know what else I enjoyed and miss? The Millenium Village....
