Soarin' over Epcot..

Hey everyone, new to this board, and I am hooked already! Now, on to my topic of discussion....

I have been told that the Ride "Soarin" is coming to Epcot, in the Land pavillion. Does anyone know if this is the same exact ride as the one in CA?

and if there are differences, what are they?

We absolutely LOVE this ride out there, can't wait for it to come here!

Quite sadly, they will keep the California theme. Dont give up hope though, maybe someday in the future they will create a Florida version

I think that they might have a hard time finding such a variety of sights as the one in Ca has.

If you really find some interesting points of view, maybe the ocean, orange groves, JFK space center, etc. you can come up with a great ride! Disney just needs to realize their potential in what they can offer to guests, instead of reproducing the same attraction to other parks. We need stand alones!

Yep, it's going to be the same thing. From what they had originally said it is going to be a 'gift from Disneyland for the 50th anniversary'. Why Disneyland is giving away gifts for its own anniversary is beyond me. No fear though, I recently moved to Orlando from southern California and I can tell you that Soarin' is quite awesome. The music is especially notable. Regardless of its less than appropriate theme, it will be one of the must see attractions at Epcot. Also, I read in a few places...long ago...that the theme was going to be a retro airport...unlike its CA counterpart.

I'm sure if Disney actually sat down and thought about it, they could come up with a comparable ride for DW.

I've been on the one at CA, and loved it! I thought I was the biggest dork for finding the soundtrack and playing it after I got home from our vaca!!

Same movie.... though their is talk of changing it out for epcots 25th......

(cheaper to build a ride and have a new print of existing movie made... then eventually make a new movie....)

I hope they have it soarin over FLA or America... since it is the land.. show the different eco systems.. and our food....
