my mom and dad went to epcot when it first opened and she bought a silver plated pass for 75 dollars... she was wondering if it is a special lifetime pass to epcot... it was only sold to 100 people for 75 dollars... anybody know about this?

I would contact Epcot Guest Relations and ask to speak to their most senior (and I don't mean it in the business structure sense) CM there. I have never heard about it at all. I was at EPCOT Center when it opened and we bought commemorative 3-day passes, which were about $75 if I remember right. They came in a silver sleeve, which I do still have somewhere. But they weren't for lifetime, they were regular three day passes for both WDW parks and they were good FOREVER until they had been used for three days.
the more I think about it, the more I think that's what your mom is thinking about.

I bought a silver pass as well. At the time it was just a commemerative ticket to the park, I beliecve at the time it was a 3 day world passport. The unused days never expired, but the ticket was silver plated to be a commemerative type ticket for the opening of EPCOT.
