    PAL Mickey for adults?

I was just thinking... wouldn't it be nice if they developed something like the Pal Mickey for "grown ups"? I really like the idea of getting reminders about parade times, and notices about short line waits and the occasional trivia about the ride I'm on/waiting for or about the park or Disney in general.

I've seen some folks say they wouldn't carry one because it's a plush toy, which I think is a shame. What about making something more like a PDA or a cell phone? It could work the same way (with sensors and all), but just transmit the info via text or even voice through speakers?

It could clip onto your belt or hang from a lanyard. They could still theme it up if they wanted (and of course they'll want to). Alladin's Genie, maybe? Or theme it with Mushu from Mulan. They could do any number of themes. Fairy Godmother, Blue Fairy, the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty?

    I'd buy one.

I think the Pal Mickey *WAS* designed for adults. I mean, what child can actually dish up the money for that gizmo, and much less, carry it around all day? Kids are bored with it fast. My cousin bought one for her daughter and after 5 minutes, she put it down and didn't play with it anymore.

Oh, I will run around with a stuffed animal, that's isn't the issue. I just think I wouldn't play with it in line, like the games and jokes and stuff because I would feel silly. Now, if they had harder trivia questions and other content that was more interesting to me, I might. But ultimately the reason I don't want to carry him around is because my fiance would get annoyed with it going off all the time and having to stop and listen to it. Now, if we had a kid who would do that for us, it would be a different story.

Wait! Pal Mickey is not for adults? Says who? It's Daddy's pal mickey my daughter has to ask to play with him...

Wasn't it you who stated that you wouldn't want to walk around the parks carrying "some plush toy"? I was just wondering out loud, so to speak, if people would be interested in one that wasn't so plush.

Well I think they should be a Pal Minnie's for the female. Who could interact with the pal Mickey with info on shopping hints and dinning barges with the other info also included?

I think I see what you're saying...Like an action figure sized character or a cell phone sized gadget, right? More on the plastic side, maybe smaller so it could be clipped on a belt loop or something like that. Cool idea! I'd like a villain themed one myself.

                  Re: PAL Mickey for adults?

Exactly! Something more like a techie gadget than a stuffed toy. It could have tougher trivia questions, and info about things like specials at food stations/restaurants as well as the normal Pal info.

I just think more people might shell out the big bucks for one if it weren't so much like a stuffed toy. *shrug*

that would only work if they introduce the Pal minnie (as said above)... (Yo Disney... You could make more money with this added to the Pal lines...)

                                  Anatomically enhanced right?
